' Texas Insurance RegulationsTesting: Since this is a classroom equivalent course, please use the guidelines below: There must be 4 interactive quizzes per hour, preferably every 15 minutes. For a 2 hr course, the student will take 8 different quizzes.

- The student must pass each quiz with a 70%.

- There are no final exams for classroom equivalent courses.

- Quizzes have to be randomized and have feedback. Therefore we usually have a quiz bank of 10 questions per quiz, but the student will only see five of these questions at a given time.

- The same 70-30 rule applies for the quiz bank only.Release Date: N/A Expiration Date: 4/20/2010

 

Course Objectives

At the conclusion of this course, you will be able to:
- Discuss the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and water permitting programs
- Identify and apply technology-based effluent limitation guidelines
- Identify and discuss secondary treatment standards requirements
- Describe regulations, provisions, limits, and calculations that apply to permit development
- Discuss independent and specific approaches to implementing water quality standards
- Discuss the use of total maximum daily load (TMDL) and wasteload allocation (WLA) models to analyze discharge of and receiving water
- Discuss the TMDL program, its regulations, interpretations, and implementation
- Describe the NPS management program, including the Section 319 federal grant program
- Discuss federal agency roles and responsibilities regarding wetland management and steps followed to comply with Section 404 policies
